Between major life transitions, I like to run off to foreign countries for months at a time. During minor life transitions, I like to run off to cool places for days-to-weeks a time. I've been all around the Pacific (Japan is a particular favorite), through Europe, a bit of South America, and all around the US.
Before Yale (Summer 2010), I packed up my bike and some bags and headed to Europe, where I biked around Ireland and then from Amsterdam to Budapest. 1500 miles total.
Most recently (Summer 2013), I hit up Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Sweden in two weeks.
